From the Provider’s Desk:

RITE AID CHAIN CLOSING IN DELAWARE

As discussed in the news, Rite Aid will likely close its Delaware locations by the end of August 2025.

While this may present some challenges, please rest assured that the quality of care we provide our pediatric patients will not be compromised.

If you currently use Rite Aid for prescriptions, please consider choosing a new pharmacy now to avoid issues with summer and fall prescription refills. Once you have chosen a new pharmacy, please call the office with this information so we can update your child's preferred pharmacy. We understand this transition may be inconvenient. If you continue to use Rite Aid, please get in touch with their pharmacist to ensure the prescribed medication is still in stock. If not, please contact nearby pharmacies so that our staff can process the medication(s) without unnecessary delays.

From the Wellness Desk:

Summertime is almost here and there are many ways families can have a safe AND relaxing summer.

First, why not consider participating in Advocare Delaware Pediatrics’  “Stroll More, Scroll Less” Challenge.  We can all benefit from a little more movement and a little less screen time in our lives.  Let’s work on making this habit change together!

LGBTQ+ Support

Sean's House

Meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The LGBTQ+ Support group was created by a Peer24 Leader at Sean’s House who identified a need for a supportive space for people ages 14-24 that are part of the LGBTQ+ community. It is a structured and supportive environment that creates the emotional safety needed to discuss and reflect on a variety of topics surrounding mental health in the LGBTQ+ community. This group is facilitated by an LGBTQ+ identifying, trauma-informed therapist.
